Halloween night. A country manor. Dinner is being served — and somewhere among the
guests is a killer. Murder at the Manor returns to Tottington Manor
for an evening where the investigation unfolds around the tables rather than on a
distant stage.
Food to Die For
The 2026 Halloween mystery is Food to Die For. The story begins in
a family restaurant inherited by a brother and sister. One now runs the business,
the other is the head chef, and the evening should be a celebration of his recent
culinary success.
Then the congratulations stop. Motives begin to surface. Conversations become clues.
And what looked like a very good night for the restaurant becomes something altogether
more suspicious.
Your evening
The live mystery develops around a three-course dinner from the TERRA
Restaurant team. Murders on Demand's actors move among the guests,
characters can be questioned directly and the investigation continues as the
evening unfolds.
You are not expected to perform a role yourself. Your job is much simpler:
eat well, pay attention, ask awkward questions and decide who you trust.
Dinner is being served. Someone has a motive. By the end of the night,
somebody will need to explain themselves.

An immersive investigation, not dinner theatre at a distance
Murders on Demand describes its format as fully immersive and actor-led. The cast
roams the venue, scenes develop throughout the room and guests speak to the characters
in conversation rather than waiting for a fixed question-and-answer session.
That makes the South Downs Suite particularly suited to the evening: dinner and
investigation occupy the same space, so the story can emerge naturally around guests
instead of stopping and starting around a stage performance.

Dinner is part of the experience
The live mystery takes place around a three-course dinner prepared by the TERRA
Restaurant kitchen. The idea is closer to a rather suspicious dinner party than a
conventional theatre show — which feels especially appropriate on a dark October
night at a country manor.
If you have allergies or dietary requirements, add them when booking or contact
the Tottington Manor team before the event so suitable arrangements can be confirmed.
