First Aid at Work and Paediatric Training at Tottington Manor

First aid is one of those skills we hope never to need, yet value immediately when a situation demands calm, practical action. On Tuesday 3 November, Tottington Manor will host Training Legs First Aid for a day of Emergency First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid training.

The seven-hour, in-person course runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm and is designed for people who need workplace first aid cover, those who work with children, and anyone looking to build useful confidence around medical emergencies.

Practical skills that people can use

Training covers the role of a first aider, responding to an emergency, casualty care and the recovery position. Delegates will work through CPR for adults, children and infants, use of an AED, choking, seizures, shock, bleeding, burns and anaphylaxis.

It is practical learning, not a day of simply watching from the sidelines. Training Legs' courses are designed to be engaging, interactive and accessible, so that people have the opportunity to ask questions and practise the techniques being taught.

Training Legs First Aid

Training Legs First Aid provides courses across Sussex and Surrey. Founder and trainer Jenny Legg established the business in 2019 and delivers a range of practical first aid and mental health training for charities, schools, local councils and businesses.

Their focus on approachable, memorable learning makes them a natural fit for the kind of training day we want to host at Tottington Manor: useful, welcoming and grounded in the realities people may face at work, at home or in the community.

A relationship built over the last couple of years

Tottington Manor and Training Legs have been working together over the past couple of years to make practical first aid training more accessible locally. We are pleased to welcome the team back for another session in our South Downs setting, bringing a valuable training opportunity to local businesses, childcare professionals and individuals.

For organisers, hosting the course locally means a straightforward, in-person day in a venue that is easy to reach from Henfield, Brighton, Worthing, Horsham and the wider West Sussex area.
